An Unrivaled Opportunity Steeped in Historical Charm

Aunt Nea’s Inn

Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage town of St. George’s is the upscale guest house, Aunt Nea’s Inn. This bed & breakfast offers visitors a truly Bermudian experience and has become a treasured landmark by locals.

The iconic residence was built in the 18th century and originally known as Hillcrest. Over the years it has undergone extensive renovations that have modernized each of the 10 guest rooms while enhancing the original craftsmanship of the building – particularly the Bermuda cedar woodwork. Each guest room has newly refurbished flooring, holds either a queen or king bed and includes an ensuite bathroom. Several rooms have separate living areas and the largest suite has a kitchenette. In addition to the guest bedrooms is the expansive owners living quarters which features captivating ocean views, a private balcony and a newly upgraded kitchen with state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances.

The bright and airy covered porch looks over the beautifully landscaped grounds of the inn, which are graced with one of the classic architectural features of the island – the Bermuda moongate – a circular stone archway which is said to bring luck when walked through. Stunning harbour views can be seen from the second-floor guest rooms, and a crisp breeze is always felt blowing through the inn.

The profound impact this inn, and its owners have had on many of its guests is notable. One visitor recounted how it was a “beautiful historic building on well-maintained grounds surrounded by the lovely sounds of lovebirds.” Continuing on to say, “Fortunately, it has retained all of its charm and historical features making it a real joy to explore. Aunt Nea’s was an oasis and Faith and Carolyn are excellent hosts who are always around to assist in recommendations. We were really glad we chose this accommodation and would definitely stay here again.”

In the high season St. George’s is decidedly less crowded than Hamilton and Dockyard and brings visitors to its historical attractions including the Unfinished Church and several forts. The guest house is a stone throw from public transportation stops and within walking distance of a handful of activities including beaches, restaurants, shops and galleries.
Listing agent Danielle Spurling remarked “it is a unique opportunity to own a piece of Bermuda’s history. The current owners of Aunt Nea’s Inn have fostered a hugely successful business which has seen numerous repeat visitors to the island and now hope to pass the torch onto a keen investor. Since it is presently zoned as Hotel/Tourism it is available to international purchasers, but the inn is not limited to this use – the opportunities are endless with this listing.”
