Valerie was awarded the Residential Real Estate Service Award in 2005 by the Bermuda Annual Product and Service Award Magazine. Her winning streak continues even today as this past year she won both Listing and Selling Agent of the Year at Rego Sotheby's International Realty for 2017.
She has been a fearless leader within the real estate industry for over 25 years. She first started with L.P. Gutteridge Real Estate, and in 1991 she joined Rego Sotheby's International Realty.
"I focus on connecting with my clients," said Valerie. "This is the business of relationships, and I believe in putting my clients first and giving 100% professional service to all I interact with. Real estate is a very dynamic industry, and I approach all my business transactions with utmost transparency and integrity." This stance has earned her the respect of repeat and referral clients, many of whom have become personal friends. "My background was working in insurance, and during that time I also owned two successful salons. Property Management for me was the gateway into my future career in real estate. Real estate gave me the opportunity to connect and interact with people, which I love! Most importantly, the feeling of fulfillment I earn from providing my clients the opportunity to make the biggest financial decision of their lives with confidence is extremely rewarding. This is my home, this is my career and I love what I do!"
Valerie is completely invested in her community and is a member of The Mid Ocean Club and the Kardias Club, a charitable organization dedicated to helping the local community initiatives prosper. Her passion for golf amidst the Bermuda lifestyle has led her to become a member of the Mid Ocean Club board of directors and accept the role of Captain of the Mid Ocean Ladies Group and Vice President of the LPGA/EWGA (Executive Women's Golf Association). She also competes with the Bermuda Team in the Kitty Michael's International Golf Tournaments. When she is not going to a property viewing with a client or putting on the green, she prioritizes traveling, sewing, dancing and walking along Bermuda's historical Railway Trail.
