After working in the luxury fashion industry in New York City, Helen Card traveled the world as a flight attendant for 10 years. She visited Bermuda on one of her trips and fell in love with the island. "As soon as I landed I knew I was home," said Helen. "Bermuda is just beautiful. The colours of the flowers, the different shades of blues in the water, the Bermuda longtail birds... it is amazing to see a place with this much natural beauty." After moving to Bermuda in 1986, Helen's love for sales was re-ignited.
"I had a fashion career in sales," said Helen. "After seeing the uniqueness and grandeur of the Bermuda homes, I decided to go from selling Louis Vuitton handbags to selling houses," said Helen. "I have absolutely no regrets. I love what I do." Helen's fashion sense continues to benefit her clients and she is the inspiration behind many an interior decorating project. "I'm so inspired by island living, and I love to talk through interior decorating with my clients. It's that personalized element that makes a house a home. That's my favourite thing about my job. I'm a matchmaker, and it is a huge reward to match a family with a suitable home. I'm helping to provide them with a setting for a lifetime of memories. Many will see their children grow up in that home. That means a lot to me."
Helen has been successfully working with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants in residential real estate since 1994 and joined Rego Sotheby's International Realty in 2003. Since then she has successfully become an industry leader within the community. A dynamo with a frank style built on a foundation of unshakable integrity, Helen has exceptional market knowledge and a unique ability to match extraordinary properties with the right Bermudian and International buyers.
In 2016, 2017 and 2018 Helen was recognized as the Top Rental Agent for Rego Sotheby's International Realty.
When she's not working, Helen will either be on a golf course (she is a member of Mid Ocean Club), on a long walk through Tucker's Town, or celebrating her Greek heritage and cooking something delicious in her kitchen. "Home is where you truly live," said Helen. "Live your best life in a home that inspires you."
